Lithium, for example can cause vomiting, unconsciousness, and may even cause coma.

For any medicine you take, drinking a lot of water is advisable. Follow the dosage of the medicine as directed, missing a dosage could be risky as the blood level is affected by the previous dosage, which has to be maintained.
Take ample care while performing outdoor activities when on medication. Dehydration due to stressful work or play should be avoided.

The signs to look out for dehydration are:

•You may be thirsty and not realize it.
•You may feel lethargic and walk slowly.
