What Is The Main Herpes Symptom? By John K What is the Main Indication
The simplex virus causes eruptions on the skin. Although there are many different strains of herpes, they all cause sores or lesions which differ from each other.
The family is domineered by two strains in the main. The first we will discusss is the HSV 1 strain that affects the mouth both inside and out.
Spreading Genital Herpes
The other dominant member of the family is the simplex 2 virus which is known as as HSV 2. It is this family member that and affects the genitalia as well as the buttocks and lower back. We will be talking about the type of outbreaks this virus causes in greater detail a little further on.
Herpes simplex 1 is the gentlest form of the virus. The traditional lesions are cold sores, or fever blisters, that are found contagious and incurable. The way to pass this virus is by the contact with the lesions. This virus can also result in genital herpes, but it is generally located around the mouth.
The fever blisters that sometimes appear in and around the mouth when one is getting a cold or flu are typical of HSV 1. This is referred to as oral herpes.
Herpes simplex 2 is the most commonly talked about form of herpes. This strain is passed through some form of sexual intercourse. The blisters that occur from this strain are similar to cold sores; The HSV 2 virus as a rule causes most discomfort. It is spread sexually. Although the lesions from simplex 2 look the same as cold sores they only normally appear in the genital area.
With genital in males, the lesions may occur on the shaft of the penis, the genital region, or on the inner thigh, buttocks, or anus. In females, eruptions may occur on or near the pubis, labia, clitoris, vulva, buttocks, or anus. This may require careful examination; during a vaginal birth a flashlight is suggested.
The appearance of lesions and the experience of outbreaks in these areas differ according to each individual.
Eruptions of on or near the genitals may look like cold sores. An outbreak may look like a paper cut, chafing, or appear to be a yeast infection. Other symptoms of a outbreak may include aches, pains in the area, excretion from the penis or vagina, and discomfort when urinating.
It is common for the first outbreaks to be far more acute and they often are preceded by feelings of fever and glands that are swollen. Succeeding outbreaks are generally never as harsh as that first outbreak and can occur 6 to 8 times a year, depending on your health. Extreme stress levels will almost always trigger an outbreak as will a lweakened immune system. Depression can extend the length of your outbreaks.
