Prempro Class Action Lawsuits

What is being done about Prempro? Because of the life threatening Prempro side effects, Premproclass actions suits have been filed and the Food and DrugAdministration (FDA) and Wyeth have revised the prescribinginformation to include a boxed warning stating that estrogensand estrogens plus progestin should not be used for theprevention of heart disease. The Prempro class action allegations rely on the fact that theboxed warning now includes risk information from the Women'sHealth Initiative (WHI) study about increased risks of Premproside effects of heart attacks, stroke, invasive breast cancer,pulmonary embolism (blood clots), and deep vein thrombosis inpostmenopausal women. Estrogens with or without progestin shouldbe prescribed at the lowest effective doses and for the shortestduration.
